Age Limit As on as 01.11.2016: 34 years .

Educational Qualification: Ph.D. in areas of Economics or Finance from reputed universities is the minimum required educational qualification. The Bank will also look at those with interest and expertise in related areas in econometrics, computational and theoretical economics.

Pay Scale:Rs. 35150-62400/-

Selection Process: Through Preliminary Interview & performance in the Job Seminar.

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) invites applications form eligible candidates for the posts of Assistant in various offices of the Bank.

Total Posts: 610 Vacancies

Name of the Posts: Assistant

Age Limit as 08.11.2016: 20 to 28 years  and age relaxation would be applicable as per rules

Educational Qualification Candidate should have Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate and the knowledge of word processing on PC.

Pay Scale : Rs. 13150-34990/-

Selection Process : Through Preliminary and Main examination followed by an Interview.

  • All Others: Rs. 450/-

About Reserve Bank of India

The Reserve bank is completely owned by Government of India. It was set up on 1st April 1935 in accordance with the provision of Reserve Bank of India Act, 1934. RBI maintains the strategy of Indian Rupee in which the financial authority of a country controls the supply of money. Initially the Central Office where the Governor of the bank sits and the place guidelines are made of the Reserve bank of India was brought into existence in Calcutta. In 1937, the central office is permanently moved to Mumbai.

The Deputy Governors of the RBI are the ex-officio members. The Deputy Governor is the one who takes the responsibility of bank regulation and supervision and is also voted as Vice-Chairman of Board.
